The Soft Life, Shared
Somewhere along the way, the whole group got very, very good at being busy. You've mastered the calendar invite, the car park catch-up, the voice note answered three days later and the quick coffee that ends with "we have to do this properly soon". Well, ladies, this is properly! A whole weekend dedicated to taking your time, treating yourselves and enjoying the little luxuries that make life rather lovely. Soft Life Weekend is officially calling, and there's absolutely no rush to answer.
Naturally, we begin with brunch. But not just any brunch! Your weekend kicks off at a gorgeous Moroccan-inspired restaurant, where plush velvet, beautiful teal interiors and playful pink palms make everything feel a little more indulgent. Settle in with the girls for two glorious hours of bottomless cocktails and delicious share plates. There's plenty of time to enjoy the food, indulge in another cocktail and let the conversation flow. The soft life has officially begun, and she's ordered another round.
Once brunch wraps up, it's time to check into your chic Brisbane city apartment, where the afternoon belongs entirely to you. No rushing between activities, no complicated plans and certainly no need to watch the clock. Slip into something comfortable, put on a little music and enjoy having nowhere else you need to be.
And because we're embracing the finer things, a delicious grazing platter arrives straight at your door. Beautifully arranged savoury treats, fresh fruit and all those lovely little things that make an afternoon feel special. There's something particularly satisfying about enjoying a gorgeous spread that nobody had to lift a finger to prepare.
Then, just when you thought the treats couldn't get any better, there's a little surprise! Out comes a box of beautiful custom iced cookies, made especially for the girls. Almost too pretty to eat, although we suspect that particular dilemma won't last very long. A little sweetness, a thoughtful surprise and another reason to make a fuss over your favourite people.
And the rest of the evening? Well, that's the beauty of it. Perhaps you're watching a favourite movie, opening another bottle or settling into a conversation that takes you absolutely everywhere. Nobody has to nominate a designated host, organise the entertainment or persuade the group to stay a little longer.
