The Girls Are Staying Over
Remember when a sleepover with the girls was the highlight of your entire week? The snacks, the outfit changes, the conversations that went absolutely everywhere and the promise to go to sleep that nobody had any intention of keeping. Well, some things are simply too good to grow out of! Rooftops and Room Service gives the classic girls sleepover a rather fabulous Gold Coast upgrade, with bubbly and share plates at our rooftop beach club, your own chic apartment, grazing delivered to the door and a very cute little cookie surprise. Same girls, significantly better snacks!
And what a way to start! Our rooftop beach club is all sunshine, sparkling pool, fabulous views and music drifting across the deck. Your reserved seating is waiting, along with bubbly and delicious share plates, and the catching up begins before everyone's even taken their sunglasses off. It's the kind of long lunch that could happily go on all afternoon. And the best part? Nobody has to start saying goodbye when it's over.
Instead, the whole gang is heading back to your own chic Gold Coast apartment. Shoes are kicked off, the comfiest clothes come out and someone claims the best spot on the couch before the bags are even unpacked. The playlist goes on and the girls settle into that wonderfully familiar sleepover rhythm, where there's absolutely nowhere else you'd rather be.
Then comes a knock at the door, and things are about to get delicious. Your grazing arrives, turning the coffee table into a spread that's almost too pretty to touch. Almost. And just when the girls think the snacks couldn't get any better, out come the custom cookies made especially for your weekend! Cue the delighted squealing, everyone choosing their favourite design and an excessive number of photos before someone finally gives in and takes a bite.
Now we're talking proper sleepover territory. Somebody digs up an old photo that sends the whole room into hysterics, the grazing keeps getting revisited and the conversation wanders from life's latest developments to stories that absolutely never get old. There's always one person who announces she's getting an early night, only to be found still talking two hours later. Some traditions are sacred!
There's a reason we haven't filled every hour of this weekend with activities. Since 2011, My Ultimate has learnt that sometimes the cleverest thing you can plan is bringing the right people together and giving them the time to enjoy it.
