You know that story you've been saving because telling it over the phone simply wouldn't do it justice? Of course you do. The girls have a few of their own, and some things just need to be discussed in person, preferably over a very good cocktail! Enter Confessions of a Cocktail Lover. Your own chic Gold Coast apartment, a private cocktail-making class, mimosas and share plates at our gorgeous beachfront restaurant, then a bottle of bubbly on a rooftop beach club deck. Consider this your official excuse to get everyone together and finally spill the details.
First, check into your Gold Coast apartment, where you've got an hour to freshen up before heading out. Bags are dropped, the playlist goes on and somebody's already halfway through a story that begins with 'you are NOT going to believe this'. Naturally, the entire room needs to hear it, but there's a cocktail class calling, and this particular story might need a drink to accompany it anyway.
Now, for the cocktail lovers who have spent years perfecting the art of ordering their favourite drink, it's time to see how you go making one! Your private cocktail-making experience comes with your own bartender to show you the tricks of the trade, and you'll each get hands-on shaking up two delicious cocktails. Expect a little friendly competition, some very enthusiastic taste-testing and at least one person discovering she's missed her calling as a mixologist. The girl who normally spends ten minutes studying the cocktail menu? She's in her element. And there's something especially satisfying about taking that first sip of a cocktail you made yourself. The cocktails have done their job, everyone's settled in and the conversation is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down. Stories are being told in full, complete with dramatic pauses, several interruptions and the occasional 'hang on, WHAT happened next?' This is exactly why some catch-ups deserve more than a quick drink after work.
And because a night this good deserves a fabulous finish, it's off to our rooftop beach club!
