Draw Your Own Conclusions
Of all the things you might expect your friends to bring home from a Sydney weekend, a sketch of a naked man probably isn't near the top of the list. Which is precisely why The Naked Truth is such a brilliant idea. You still get the lovely parts of a city escape, with waterfront dining, rooftop bubbly and a chic apartment for the night. But then someone brings out the pencils, and suddenly you've got a weekend nobody will confuse with your usual dinner and drinks.
First, enjoy a little waterfront glamour at our bar, where bubbly on arrival and delicious share plates await your group. Settle in, admire the scenery and catch up over something delicious. Everyone knows what's coming later, of course, so the conversation might occasionally wander towards a few rather interesting questions. Who's actually any good at drawing? And more importantly, who is going to manage it without laughing?
Next, head up to our rooftop garden, where reserved seating and a bottle of bubbly are waiting. Raise a glass to the afternoon ahead and enjoy some gorgeous Sydney views. The girls are looking remarkably composed for a group with such unusual plans.
Then it's back to your chic Sydney city apartment, where the question becomes: what exactly do you wear to draw a naked man? Something fabulous? Something comfortable? Whatever the answer, you'll want an outfit that allows for plenty of laughing.
Your model arrives as a topless waiter first, pouring drinks while everyone settles in and gets acquainted. Then comes the main attraction. Off comes the rest, out come the pencils, and your private life drawing session begins! There's a certain amount of concentration required, which becomes considerably harder when someone catches a glimpse of the drawing beside hers. One masterpiece might be surprisingly impressive, another might have proportions that defy explanation. The pencils are provided. The straight faces are not.
And that's what makes this afternoon so much fun. You don't need artistic talent or any experience drawing the human form. Just a group of friends who are perfectly comfortable being a little ridiculous together. The finished sketches are yours to take home, complete with all the stories attached to them.
Once the session wraps up, the rest of your Sydney evening is yours. Head out and enjoy the city or stay in and carry on laughing over your artistic achievements. Either way, you've already given everyone something to remember.
