A Little Clay, A Lot Of Play
Who says a creative weekend has to be all herbal tea and early nights? Certainly not us! Claycation is proof that you can embrace your artistic side and still have a fabulous night out. One minute you're getting creative with a lump of clay, a few hours later you're sipping bubbly beneath a giant pink flamingo, with a nightclub still to come. We're calling it a very well-rounded weekend. Even if your pottery isn't.
First, make yourselves at home in your chic Brisbane city apartment. It's your own little headquarters for the weekend, somewhere to settle in, catch up and get ready before heading out for an afternoon of creativity. And with the whole group staying together, there's plenty of opportunity for the fun to continue long after the activities finish.
Now, it's time to get your hands dirty! Your private clay workshop is waiting in our My Ultimate Girls Trip studio, where the whole space is reserved just for your group. Bring along your favourite drinks, settle in around the table and prepare to discover just how creative everyone really is.
With your own pottery host guiding the way, you'll learn to shape and decorate your very own air-dry clay creation. Perhaps you're imagining a beautiful little trinket dish, a decorative bowl or something a little more ambitious. Whatever your artistic vision, there's plenty of room to experiment, get creative and have a laugh along the way.
And that's the beauty of a workshop like this. Everyone starts with the same materials, but the results are wonderfully different. Some creations might be worthy of a spot on the mantelpiece, while others will require a fairly enthusiastic explanation of what they're supposed to be. Either way, nobody's taking themselves too seriously, and that's exactly how we like it.
Once the creative masterpieces are complete, it's time to swap the studio for somewhere a little more tropical. Your next destination is a gorgeous garden bar, where leafy palms, colourful surroundings and a rather fabulous giant pink flamingo set the scene for dinner with the girls.
Settle in over delicious share plates, enjoy some bubbly and soak up the atmosphere. It's relaxed, lively and just the right amount of fabulous, with plenty of time to catch up over good food before the evening takes another turn.
We've been bringing groups together at My Ultimate since 2011, and we're firm believers that a weekend can start at the craft table and finish on the dancefloor.

It's time to hit the nightclub, where your reserved booth gives the girls their own spot amongst the action. There's a bottle of bubbly to enjoy, music to dance to and a whole evening ahead of you. Whether you're heading straight for the dancefloor or settling in for a drink first, the night is yours.
