You tilt the brim, inspect yourself in the mirror and briefly consider whether you're the kind of person who owns cowboy boots now. The Honky Tonk Escape takes that feeling and runs with it. Because this time, you're not putting the hat back on the shelf. You're making your own, and she's got a big night ahead of her!
First stop, your very own private hat-burning workshop in Brisbane, where an artist host is ready to help the girls get creative. Each of you starts with a felt fedora and learns how to use a special burning pen to add your own designs directly to the material. Think delicate wildflowers, western-inspired patterns, personalised details or something entirely your own. The possibilities are as individual as the girls around the table, and that's half the fun.
Bring along your favourite drinks and snacks if you fancy, settle into your creative zone and see what everyone comes up with. Someone's going for understated elegance, someone's embracing her inner country music star, and someone's design is getting progressively more elaborate because apparently she's discovered a hidden talent. By the end, everyone has a one-of-a-kind creation. And unlike most craft projects, these beauties aren't heading straight to a shelf. They've got plans tonight!
Next, it's time to check into your Brisbane hotel, where suddenly, getting dressed has become a whole lot more interesting. That hat needs an outfit! Are we talking denim and boots? A cute dress with a little western attitude? Something completely unexpected? There's time to experiment, borrow accessories and admire the finished looks before heading out together. At My Ultimate, we've been putting girls weekends together since 2011, and we particularly love an experience that becomes part of the whole celebration. Especially when something you've made yourself gets to come along for the fun.
Tonight, those hats are making their grand debut! First stop is our character-filled pub in the heart of Fortitude Valley, where tacos and margaritas are waiting. With its relaxed atmosphere and lively pub personality, it's just the place for a group of girls who've decided to embrace their inner cowgirls for the night. Settle in, raise a glass and enjoy a delicious dinner together. There's something about a cowboy hat that brings out a whole new level of confidence, and by now, everyone's getting rather comfortable with their new look. Honestly, you might have trouble convincing anyone to take hers off!

Our tropical garden bar is the next stop, where lush greenery, twinkling lights and Brisbane's evening air set the scene for another round of margaritas. Add some guacamole and corn chips to share, and you've got a rather fabulous way to keep the night going. The hats have had their first outing, the margaritas have been thoroughly appreciated, and everyone has something pretty special to take home.
Back at the hotel, there's one last important decision to make. Where exactly does everyone put their new cowboy hats? One gets pride of place on the bedside table, another claims an armchair, and someone insists hers deserves its own pillow. Honestly, after the night they've had, fair enough!
