Iconic, Entirely by Accident
Of all the suggestions to land in the girls trip group chat, axe throwing might be the one that gets a few 'sorry, WHAT?' replies. Which is exactly why we're into it! Your own chic Gold Coast apartment, a little getting-ready time with the girls, axe throwing with your very own AXEpert coach, bubbly and share plates at our gorgeous Surfers Paradise restaurant, then a round of shots to celebrate. Maybe you've got some pent-up rage to release, maybe you're feeling adventurous, or maybe you're just about to discover a new obsession you never saw coming.
Your own chic Gold Coast apartment comes first, and the living room's claimed before anyone's worked out where the light switches are. Bags go down and the playlist goes up, and because the night rolls straight on once the axes are done, the whole group gets ready in one go. This is where the first accidents of the weekend happen. An eyeliner flick goes rogue on one side, gets matched on the other and suddenly half the room wants it. A top packed as a backup ends up being the outfit. Every look gets asked 'is this too much?' and the couch answers 'no' before the question's even finished. Accidentally iconic, and nobody's picked up an axe yet.
Now for the part that had everyone raising their eyebrows when it first came up. Our gorgeous Surfers Paradise bar and restaurant is calling, with its lush greenery, lively atmosphere and a table waiting for the girls. Settle in with a glass of bubbly, pass the delicious share plates around and prepare for a very thorough analysis of everyone's performance. That one lucky throw has already become a feat of athletic genius, the misses have developed some very creative explanations and at least one person is considering taking this up as a hobby. It's amazing how much conversation a few flying axes can generate, especially when there's good food and your favourite people around the table.
And because we're making a proper night of it, there's one more stop! Head to our lively bar in the heart of Surfers Paradise, where the atmosphere is buzzing and a round of shots is waiting to get the celebrations going.
