Glow Up Before Go Out
Nobody gets ready for a night out because she has to. You get ready because it's half the fun. Hot To Go starts with a private infrared sauna session, hands you back to your hotel for the best part of the day, then sends the whole group out to dinner by the river with the entire night ahead. Slow first, then sparkly, then out the door. It's the opening act that makes the main event, and every one of you is in it. Someone will call out, "Ten minutes, I promise," and not a single person in the room will believe her.
Start in the warm. Your sauna session is private, with a towel each, filtered water to hand and a shower to rinse off afterwards, and the best part is how little anyone has to say. The talk slows, the phones stay down and for a little while no one is watching the clock. This isn't a weekend of lying about in fluffy robes. You walk out warm, quiet and oddly ready for anything. It's the quiet bit before the loud bit, and everyone knows it.
Back at the hotel, the music goes on and the transformation begins. Outfits come out of bags, makeup bags take over the bathroom and the getting ready conversations start to flow. Who's borrowing the good earrings. Who has to be asked twice to stop trying on a fourth outfit. Someone asks the whole room, "Be honest, is this too much?" and the whole room says no. For plenty of groups this is the part they love most, and you can take your time over it, because the night doesn't start until you walk out the door. Someone is in charge of the playlist and someone else is in charge of the mirror, and compliments are handed out for free.
Then you're off, glossed and ready, for dinner beside the river. Your reserved table has a glass of bubbly waiting for each of you and the food arrives sharing style, dish after dish down the table. It's the first proper look at everyone's outfits in good light, and nobody wastes the chance to say so. Somewhere between the first glass and the second dish, the conversation turns to what everyone is doing tonight, and the answer is clearly everything. The river does what the river does, and the night gets going.
Dinner winds up and the evening slides on to a reserved spot of your own, with a bottle of bubbly for the group. This is where the energy lifts. The laughter gets louder, the stories get better and someone declares it the best night out in months. There's nowhere else you need to be, which is the whole point. A night doesn't have to be loud to be a big one, and yours finds its own volume.
When it's time to call it, the hotel is waiting, along with the shoes that finally come off. The glow from the afternoon is still going, only now it has a whole night of stories on top. Sleep comes in the usual order, with the fastest talker last.
