You know a catch-up is going well when the food arrives and everyone momentarily forgets what they were saying. Then someone remembers, picks up exactly where she left off, and the whole table is listening again. Absolute Tea, Tea, Tea takes that familiar pleasure and gives it a rather fabulous Sydney setting. Think tiered high tea, dinner by the harbour, rooftop bubbly and a chic city apartment for the night. Because sometimes a coffee date simply doesn't do the occasion justice.
Your first stop is our cocktail lounge, where reserved seating, a glass of bubbly and a beautiful tiered high tea await. There are lovely little treats to work your way through, tea or coffee to enjoy, and an entire table of friends with plenty to say. Naturally, the top tier attracts some attention, although deciding which treat to try first can become a surprisingly serious discussion. There's also a discounted cocktail menu if anyone fancies something extra.
Afterwards, make yourselves at home in your chic Sydney city apartment. Drop the bags, put on a little music and enjoy getting ready together. It's funny how quickly a quiet afternoon can turn into everyone offering opinions on outfits, jewellery and whether a particular pair of shoes is worth bringing out for the evening. The answer usually becomes clear once they're on.
Next comes dinner by the harbour, where your reserved table awaits in a gorgeous waterfront setting. Choose your main from the chef's selection and settle in for a proper meal together. There's something about dining with a view that makes everyone linger a little longer, especially when the conversation is good and nobody is particularly interested in being the first to leave.
And the evening still has one more lovely stop. Head up to our rooftop garden, where reserved seating and a bottle of bubbly are waiting for the group. Pour a glass, admire the city around you and enjoy the sort of conversation that takes a completely unexpected turn before anyone has finished their sentence. Half the fun is seeing where it goes.
