Serving Looks, Getting Served
Between work, life admin, family stuff and the general business of being a person with things to do, this group is very good at keeping life moving. But not this weekend. Serving Girls Weekend is your own chic Melbourne city apartment, grazing delivered to the door, a topless waiter taking over bar duty, then dinner and two hours of flowing drinks at our cocktail lounge in the heart of the city. Sometimes getting the girls together doesn't need a deeper reason. Sometimes grazing, cocktails and a very good view are reason enough.
Check into your own chic Melbourne city apartment, drop the bags and let the couch fill well past its intended capacity. Before long, the grazing arrives at the door, with a generous mix of sweet and savoury spread across the table and favourites getting claimed before anyone's tasted a thing. Get the music going, crack open the first bottle and settle in. The weekend has officially started.
Then comes the knock everyone's been pretending not to wait for. Your My Ultimate topless waiter arrives and takes over bar duty for the group, keeping the drinks poured while you settle into the afternoon. Grazing on the table, your favourite people around you and a little eye candy behind the bar? Nobody's finding much to complain about. Get the group photos while you've got him too. This particular addition to the apartment deserves documenting.
Once he's gone, the only thing being served in the apartment is looks. The living room becomes a getting-ready station, outfits cover every available surface and the mirror consultation begins. Heated rollers and lip liner do the rounds, somebody changes her outfit at the last possible second and everyone weighs in like the decision has international consequences. Getting ready with the girls remains one of life's great pre-drink activities.
Then it's into the city for dinner at our cocktail lounge, where lantern light, palms, velvet seating and jewel-toned walls set the scene for the next part of the night. Your reserved area is waiting and the share plates start arriving from the chef while the first round gets underway. For two hours, the drinks keep flowing, plates get passed, glasses get raised and whatever started as dinner very quickly becomes the night out.
When dinner's done, your group is already on the guest list, so there's no reason at all to call it a night. Stay out and see where Melbourne takes you, or eventually make your way back to the apartment, where the couch gets its second sitting of the day and any leftover grazing gets raided in party shoes. The debrief can handle the rest.
