Girls Trip Sydney: Girls Weekend Ideas, Packages and Getaways

For your favourite people, a weekend that feels completely like all of you.

One city. One weekend. Everyone under the same roof.

Know exactly what the girls would love? Come in.
Have absolutely no idea yet? Also come in.

Real girls. Real Sydney. My Ultimate since 2011

A Sydney Girls Weekend Your Girls Will Talk About for Years

The ending you’re after: “That was so us.” “When are we doing it again?”

You know that “we should do a girls weekend” conversation you’ve had at three birthdays in a row? Or the seventeen screenshots waiting in the group chat?

Don’t worry, we get it. Every group has its own idea of the perfect weekend, and we’ve got plenty of Sydney adventures to choose from. Find the one that feels like your girls, and we’ll take care of the details.

Sydney Apartments and Experiences Made for Your Group

Plenty of Sydney will take a group booking. We’re very particular about what happens once you’re all there

So we sweat the in-between parts, and you get a weekend that just flows.

Five friends squeezed together and laughing on a cream sofa in front of a tall sunny window

Sydney Apartments for the Whole Group

One home base, with room for all of you

  • No getting ready in four different bathrooms across town
  • No splitting up at the end of the night

There’s always one big living space for the lot of you to hang out in

A group of friends cheering with cocktails around a restaurant table, one with her arm in the air

The table

Tables that are ready for all of you, not just the booking

  • No hovering at the door or someone trying to squeeze you in
  • No squeezing eight of you around a table set for four
  • No first drink arriving after the conversation has moved on

Not on our watch

A group of friends piled together laughing on a couch in a pink lit studio

Sydney Experiences for Groups

Experiences run by people who get a group of friends

  • No clapping for quiet like it’s a school excursion
  • No feeling like there’s an assessment at the end
  • No one left out because she’s never done it before

The girls are the point, not the interruption

Four friends laughing and clinking cocktails at a busy bar under warm pink lights

A Sydney Girls Weekend That Never Falls Flat

Nothing quietly falls apart in between

  • No food too early and drinks too late
  • No standing around asking what happens next
  • No half the group drifting into their phones

It’s a no from us

Because a girls trip is more than a few good bookings sitting next to each other, or scrambling to find something to do once you’re there

A Sydney Girls Weekend That Flows From Start to Finish

The good bits should make each other better

A group of friends in dresses raising glasses of bubbles together in front of a pink wall
We’ll love this
Two friends in floral dresses smiling with glasses of bubbly at a candlelit table
And this
Friends in pyjamas raising mugs under a sunny skylight the morning after
And this

But the magic is being still caught up in one moment when the next begins

The pace feels right. The girls stay with it. And you’re in the middle of it with them, instead of quietly making it all happen.

That rhythm is part of the package

“Somehow the weekend felt full and lazy at the same time. I mean that as a massive compliment.”

Rebecca W., 35

  • Are we meant to leave now?
  • Has anyone seen Jess?
  • Did they say 6:00 or 6:30?

Organising the Girls Trip? Be In It, Not Running It

There is often one woman quietly running the girls trip

Counting heads. Checking the time. Remembering who’s gluten free and whose Uber is two minutes away. The group barely notices, because she’s good at it.

Which is exactly the problem. If you’re the capable one, your competence is the very thing most likely to turn you into staff on your own girls weekend.

We prefer you here

Here
One of the girls

Not chasing the next booking. Not counting heads on the footpath. Not wondering whether the next place has the right name on the table.

“Normally on trips I’m the person carrying around all the booking confirmations and announcing when we need to leave… This time I got to be in the photos.”

Danielle I., 38

Sydney Rooftops, Harbourside Bars and the Waterfront, All in One Weekend

Sydney is the easy part to fall for. Getting everyone to the same wharf is another story

Of course you’ve saved half of Sydney. A very saveable city

You know which bits the girls would love. We make them one weekend

Sydney Girls Trip Ideas

Now let’s find your version of Sydney

A jet boat ride across the harbour? A long lunch that becomes dinner? Candles, cocktails and a surprisingly competitive friendship group? A massage first, a rooftop later? Tarot cards and a second bottle of bubbly? Excellent.

Sydney can do all of the above. The useful part is knowing which one should become your weekend

Six friends in colourful outfits with their arms around each other in a bright restaurant

Long Lunches, High Tea and Bottomless Brunch

A bottomless drag brunch where nobody at the table sits still. A tiered high tea, then harbourside dinner with your choice of main. A sparkling wine tasting where everyone swears she has the best palate.

Four friends singing into microphones with their eyes shut under party lights

Cocktail Making, Karaoke and Rooftop Nights

A hands on cocktail class where everyone claims she was the best bartender. A karaoke suite where the quiet ones turn out to know every word. Bubbly, grazing and a rooftop to finish.

Two friends in helmets laughing as they race e-karts around an indoor track

Axe Throwing, E-Karting and a Pole Class

Axe throwing for the quietly competitive. E-karting where the group chat becomes a leaderboard. A pole class where everyone turns out to be surprisingly good, or surprisingly funny.

Two friends sipping drinks through straws on a night out

Cheeky Girls Weekends: Topless Waiters, Life Drawing and a Male Revue

A waiter whose shirt never quite made it to the apartment. A life drawing class where the model is the only one not blushing. A male revue for the girls who like the lights low. Cheeky enough for the group chat. Never so much that the group chat regrets it.

Three friends in white robes laughing and holding up their freshly painted nails

Spa, Massage and Pamper Weekends

A relaxation massage, drinks by the water and dinner on the rooftop. A manicure and pedicure at the apartment. For the girls whose idea of a big weekend is finally being the ones looked after.

A fan of tarot cards and red candles on a table, with a reader’s hands hovering over them

Tarot, Candlelight and Cosy Nights In

Tarot cards, a second bottle of bubbly and a rooftop to finish. Or an overnight at the apartment with grazing, mimosas and nobody being the first to call it a night.

Five friends with their arms around each other, laughing at an outdoor waterfront bar in the late afternoon light

Sydney Girls Trip Reviews

The girls said it better

We could write an entire paragraph here about how much experience matters. Their messages are better.

Four organisers. Four very different versions of “please let me get this right”

The one with seven women to agree

Going in

“There are seven of us. If you ask seven people to separately choose a hotel, dinner, activities and a weekend you will die of old age before the trip happens.”

Afterwards

“This was better.”

Amy34

The one asking six friends to spend their own money

Going in

“I was nervous recommending something to everyone because once you are asking six friends to spend their own money, you really want to know you’ve chosen well.”

Afterwards

“…The team gave me enough information to understand why the package suited us, not just what was included. That made the decision much easier for me.”

Susan56

The one who loves organising

Going in

“I actually love organising trips and was a little hesitant about using a company because I didn’t want to lose control over the weekend.”

Afterwards

“…I still made the decisions. I still chose what felt right for my friends. I just had better information and didn’t need to personally manage every moving part once we got there.”

Sharon Matthews52

The one planning something special

In her words

“I organised our trip for a milestone birthday and wanted it to feel special without becoming an over the top “birthday weekend”. The consultant understood that immediately. The end result felt elegant, fun and most importantly like the woman we were actually celebrating.”

Helen57

And a few of the messages that came afterwards

“Booked it. Went. Loved it. Already discussing round 2.”

“We weren’t even home yet and people were already throwing around dates for another trip…”

“…I know I was a pain. You were lovely the whole way through.”

“…Very professional while still feeling personal.”

One Clear Girls Weekend Plan to Send the Group Chat

Give the group something real to react to

The group chat has a difficult job. Everybody wants the girls trip. Everybody would like it to be brilliant. This does not mean everybody wants to take part in a 146-message discussion about it.

Another idea in the chat gets more ideas. A clear option gives everyone something to answer

You shouldn’t have to become the My Ultimate brochure. Give the girls something clear. Then let them decide.

  • What are we doing?
  • What does it cost?
  • What is included?
  • When is it?
  • Where are we staying?
  • Can I bring my own pillow?

The plan

What we’re doing When Where we’re staying What it costs per person

Suddenly the girls are reacting to a plan instead of trying to invent one collectively

What running real Sydney girls weekends teaches you

Planning a girls trip to Sydney: what actually matters

Two friends cheek to cheek clinking red sparkling wine on a city rooftop at dusk

Getting around Sydney as a group

01

Sydney is easy to love and surprisingly easy to get wrong as a group. The harbour sits in the middle of everything, so the lovely collection of ideas you saved can end up on both sides of the water, and somebody has found a bar “only ten minutes away”.

Ten minutes for one person is not ten minutes for eight. That’s why most of our Sydney weekends keep the good bits in the city and close to where you’re staying, so the night ends with everyone heading back to the same place.

The best parts of Sydney for a girls weekend

02

Sydney does girls weekends in pockets, and the best ones pick a pocket rather than trying to do them all.

The middle of the city is the easy default: rooftops, cocktail lounges, dinner and dance floors close enough to walk in good shoes. The waterfront is the harbour version, with long lunches, jet boats and drinks by the water. Both work best when the weekend stays inside one of them.

Choose the pocket that suits your girls, then let the weekend stay inside it.

When to book a Sydney girls weekend

03

Sydney has weekends when half the country seems to visit at once: New Year’s Eve, Vivid, Mardi Gras, long weekends and school holidays. They don’t make a girls weekend impossible. They do make apartments and good tables considerably more interesting.

If your dates land on one of those weekends, check what’s available before the whole group falls in love with one exact plan.

Where to stay for a Sydney girls weekend

04

Choose the base around the weekend you’re actually having. Every one of our Sydney packages includes your stay in a chic city apartment, so the base is already part of the plan rather than one more booking to chase.

However the rooms fall, there’s always one big living space where the whole group gathers. That’s where the getting ready, the grazing and the “one more before we go” happen, and it’s often the part everyone talks about afterwards.

What does a Sydney girls weekend cost?

05

Our Sydney girls weekends are priced per person and run from $399 to $549. That covers somewhere to stay together, the main experience and the moments around it, like dinner, drinks or a grazing spread, depending on the package.

Accommodation is the one part that can move with your date. So the useful number is the live price on the package you’re actually looking at, for the weekend you actually want.

When not everyone can do the whole weekend

06

This is normal. Someone has an early start on Sunday. Someone doesn’t drink. Someone will enthusiastically attend the long lunch and would rather chew her own arm off than go to a nightclub.

A group doesn’t become difficult because everybody has a life. It just means the plan needs to reflect the people actually coming, so tell us early and we’ll point you to the packages that suit the group you’ve actually got.

Sydney girls trip FAQs

Practical answers for the person who has reached the part of the research where she would just like the answer.

How much does a girls weekend in Sydney cost?

Our Sydney girls weekend packages are priced per person and run from $399 to $549. Every one includes an overnight stay together, the main experience and the moments around it. Accommodation pricing can move with your dates, so chat to one of our consultants about your weekend.

What is included in a My Ultimate Girls Trip Sydney package?

Each Sydney package has its own listed inclusions. Every one includes an overnight stay in a city apartment, and depending on the package that sits alongside a class or experience, dining, drinks, a grazing spread or a night out. How one part runs into the next is part of the package design too. Check the individual package page for its current inclusions and price.

What are the best girls trip ideas in Sydney?

Sydney’s girls weekend ideas run from a bottomless drag brunch and high tea to pottery, painting, candle making and vision board workshops, a spa and pamper weekend, a jet boat ride, axe throwing, e-karting or a pole class. There’s cocktail making, a sparkling wine tasting, a karaoke suite and tarot too. For a cheekier group there’s a topless waiter, life drawing or a male revue. The best one is whichever sounds most like your girls. They’re sorted by vibe in Sydney girls trip ideas above.

Is accommodation included in a Sydney girls weekend package?

Yes. Every one of our Sydney girls weekend packages includes an overnight stay in a city apartment. However the rooms fall, there’s always one big living space where the whole group gathers and gets ready together.

How many people do we need for a Sydney girls weekend?

Most of our Sydney packages start from six of you, and every package shows its own minimum. Fewer than that? Let us know how many of you there are when you get in touch. We cater for groups of many sizes and will help you find a package that suits yours.

Where in Sydney do the packages run?

Our Sydney weekends run in the city: your apartment, rooftops, harbourside dining and the waterfront, all close enough to keep the group together. The right weekend depends on the kind of trip your girls want and how much moving around suits them.

How far ahead should we book a Sydney girls weekend?

Once you have a date, more notice means more choice, particularly for apartments and on the big Sydney weekends like New Year’s Eve, Vivid, Mardi Gras and long weekends. A closer date is still worth asking about.

Can we have a Sydney girls weekend without alcohol?

Absolutely. All of our packages can work for people who don’t drink, because we can always request no alcohol with every supplier. Mixed groups are common too, so the weekend doesn’t need to be built around drinking just because some of the girls will. Tell us about the group when you get in touch.

Do we need to be into the cheeky stuff?

No. Topless waiters, life drawing and a male revue are there for the groups who want them. They’re one corner of the Sydney range, not a requirement. A girls weekend should reflect your girls, not somebody else’s idea of what one is supposed to contain.

Can we have a classy or low-key girls weekend in Sydney?

Yes. Although “classy” and “low-key” can mean very different things. It might mean a spa and dinner. Pottery and cocktails. A sparkling wine tasting. High tea. A beautiful apartment with everyone together. You don’t need to downgrade the celebration to make it low-key. You need to choose the right kind of celebration.

Is My Ultimate Girls Trip a travel agent?

No. We wouldn’t plan your girls trip. We’d be the girls trip. Every package is designed by us as one complete weekend before you ever see it: where you stay, what you do, where you eat and how one part runs into the next. My Ultimate has been bringing the girls together since 2011, and is registered and accredited by IATA under TIDS.

Can we add extras to a package?

Each package already works as a whole weekend, so you start with something designed to hold together rather than a blank sheet. Most packages also have optional extras you can add, and they’re shown on each package page.

What if our numbers change?

That’s normal, and it’s worth telling us early. Every package shows its minimum, so choose around the girls you’re sure of and let the maybes be a bonus.

Do I need to know exactly what the girls want before I talk to you?

No. Some organisers arrive with a complete brief; some know one definite yes and one hard no; others have no idea at all. Tell us what you do know. If you’d rather explore first, start the Sydney Wishlist and use the ideas to work out what feels most like your girls.

What is the difference between a My Ultimate Girls Trip package and booking it all myself?

You can absolutely book an apartment, an activity and a restaurant yourself. Those are the visible pieces. A My Ultimate Girls Trip package is designed as one weekend: where you stay, what you do, where you eat and how one part runs into the next are part of the product rather than a collection of separate bookings. As Kelly, 47, put it afterwards: “It felt easy, but clearly quite a lot of thought goes into making something feel easy.”

Five friends laughing together on red brick steps outside open doors into a warm lit living room

One last thing

Somewhere in the middle of the weekend, one of the girls turns to you

How did you know?

You knew because you know them. And you haven’t checked your phone since lunch.

Tell Us About Your Girls

Let’s get the girls weekend started!

What happens when you send it

Our team will look at all of the deets, find the packages that match, check availability and come back to you with all of the nitty gritty details: pics, menus, the $ and c, timings, what’s included and the little touches that make it yours.

  1. A real person gets in touch

An actual human from our team, not a bot! As you’d expect, that’s why we ask for your mobile number, so we can get back to you about the girls trip you have asked us about.

  2. We talk about your girls

When looking at ideas and the packages we can chat through any deets needed to narrow them down: what the girls would love, what they’d hate, the mix of people coming and the date you have in mind. If something you liked won’t work together, we’ll tell you and we will let you know why and how to achieve the vibes you want!

  3. Your package, ready to share

We’ll walk you through the package we recommend, with all of the deets included. That way you get to share it with the group so they see what they would be saying yes to before you decide to book anything. Tweaks and questions from there are normal, subject to availability, because packages do book out on popular weekends. Just a heads up! No point getting the girls excited about a weekend that is already booked out.

A few quick details:

First name is fine.
Your mobile is all we need.
We’ll get in touch about your girls trip on the number you give us.
Not locked yet? Rough is fine.
‘About 15-ish’ is a completely legitimate answer.
Heading somewhere other than Sydney? Tell us here

WHO ARE THE GIRLS?

Tick as many as apply.

IS ANY OF IT A SURPRISE FOR SOMEONE?

That didn’t send. Give it one more go.

Hmm, we couldn’t confirm that one went through. Give it one more go.

We’ll look at what fits, then come back with full package details and the nitty gritty, ready for you to pop into the group chat.
